Butterflies, moths, bees, flies, beetles, wasps, ants, spiders and bugs are all insects. Insects are probably the most important group most diverse group of living fauna on earth and include more than a million named species. Insects may be found in nearly all environments although only a small number of species occur in the oceans.  Insects typically move about by walking, flying or occasionally swimming.
