Kooralbyn Golf Resort lies in the Australia's Gold Coast hinterland, approximately 20 km south-west of Beaudesert, some 64 km south of Brisbane and around 56 km west from Queensland's Gold Coast. It was the first golf resort built in Australia and one of the most natural golf courses in the country. The course offers a superb combination of challenging holes with dramatic views of some of Australia's genuine landscape and timeless pieces of virgin country. Unfortunately in July 2008 the iconic Kooralbyn Resort and Golf Course has closed down indefinitely after almost 30 years of operation.
