The Canton Lucerne is located in the centre of Switzerland (1,493 km2 - 345,000 inhabitants). Its neighbouring Cantons are Canton Bern to the west and south, Canton Zug to the northeast, Canton Schwyz to the east and the Cantons Nidwalden and Obwalden to the south and southeast. The capital city is Lucerne.
