The Canton Glarus (685 km² – 38,500 inhabitants) is located in the east-central Switzerland. It is dominated by the deep valley of River Linth and high mountains. It shares borders with Canton St. Gallen to the west and north, Cantons Uri and Schwyz to the east and Canton Graubünden to the south. The capital city is Glarus.
