Western Australia

Western Australia, Australia's largest state, is occupying the entire western third of the Australian continent (2.5 million km2 ** 2.2 million inhabitants). Western Australia is bordered by South Australia and Northern Territory to the east, and Indian Ocean to the south, west and north.  The total distance of the state's eastern borders is 1,862 km and there is 12,889 km of coastline. The state's capital city is Perth.
