Automobiles

By definition an automobile is a wheeled vehicle that carries its own motor and transports passengers. Automobiles are designed to run primarily on roads, to have seating for two to eight people, typically have four wheels, and to be constructed principally for the transport of people rather than goods. There are approximately 650-700 million automobiles worldwide burning over a billion tons (more one trillion liters) of petrol/gasoline and diesel fuel yearly. Photographs of modern, older and vintage automobiles are shown in this section.
