Rapid Transit

A rapid transit railway system (underground-subway, elevated-monorail) operates in an urban area with high capacity and frequency. Systems are able to transport large amounts of people quickly over short and medium distances with little land use. Variations of rapid transit include also a small-scale light metro and the commuter rail hybrid S-Bahn.
