Close up-Macro Photography

Close-up photography requires a use of lenses specifically designed for close-up photo work, called macro lenses. These lenses provide consistently high optical quality when taking close-up photographs. Most of macro lenses are optimized to provide its best performance at a magnification of 1:1, some special macro lenses can achieve higher magnification up to 5:1. However, "standard" 1:1 macro lenses are more common, and many of these find frequent use for general photography because of their excellent optics. Most of the close-up images in this section were taken with 90mm macro lens (with or without close-up filter “lens”), 18-200mm, 80-270m and with 80-400mm zoom lens.
